Classic car enthusiasts from over 20 states take on Automania [Video]

VALLEY SPRINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Car enthusiasts gathered for one of the largest public automotive events in the Midwest on Saturday afternoon.

For many years, Automania has hosted the car show in Valley Springs where attendees get to experience live music, food, drinks and soak in the beauty of classic cars.

Automania aims to celebrate classic cars within the community and help to inspire the next generation of owners.

“You see the personalities of person behind the car too and so a lot of times when you look at the car and start talking to the owner, you kind of say, ‘Oh, now I understand why it looks the way it does,’” said participant Jim McGrann.

Automania will donate half of the event’s proceeds to the Valley Springs Fire Department.
