Springfield brewery to host fundraiser for Common Wealth Murals [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – A fundraiser Thursday will benefit Common Wealth murals. Proceeds from the event will allow the organization to continue to “Paint the Town” this summer

Springfield’s Loophole Brewing will transform into an artist’s oasis for Common Wealth Murals. The organization has created murals that can be found all over the area. Since Common Wealth Murals’ founding in 2019, over 70 murals have been put up in Springfield alone.

“…Most have been done in collaboration with communities, so the community helps give input into the mural designs and we use a special mural technique that allows the community to paint the murals,” said Britt Ruhe, director of Common Wealth Murals.

Ruhe told Western Mass News that, at Thursday’s event, guests can find food, music, and the chance to get creative. All of the proceeds will help the organization being more art to Springfield this summer. Currently, the group …
