Belmont Bridge ribbon cutting set for Friday – [Video]

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — It’s been a long time coming, but after three years of construction and years of planning the Belmont Bridge will be officially done this week.

The City of Charlottesville is marking the completion of the new and improved Belmont Bridge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday at 11 a.m. The bridge was designed and built with vehicles, bikes and pedestrians in mind. 

At the event, there will be special speakers such as the mayor, the city manager, and the public works director talking about this landmark achievement.
