Former Shelby County Commissioner hosts 23rd Annual Community Picnic [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A picnic started in the home of a former Shelby Commissioner is now a community-wide success.

The 23rd annual community picnic was held by former commissioner Sidney Chism, who is enjoying what the picnic has become.

“There was a need for [this community event],” Chism told Action News 5, “You look around and you see all the kids enjoying themselves.”

The annual event was open to everyone of all ages and was just as successful this year as ever.
