Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes should “put on a united front” and deal with their marriage issues “behind closed doors” according to a social media expert. 

The former This Morning presenters recently announced that they are splitting up and seeking a divorce after 14 years of marriage, and 27 years together. While their representatives confirmed the news in a statement, neither Ruth or Eamonn, both 64, have commented on the matter as of yet. 

Now, celebrity agent and social media expert, Nathan Bridson, has said that it’s for the best. He told Express.co.uk: “The best thing for a celebrity, or someone with a following, that has announced a split to do is to totally come off social media while the dust settles and not comment unless they want to exclusively to do so.

“Commenting to multiple publications or journalists can cause a snowball effect. Especially if it’s a sticky break up.
