1. Heat Wave: Temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s Friday and continue through the weekend.
2. Juneteenth Roundup of Events: Sandy Spring Museum’s History Hour series continues today at 6:30 p.m. with local historian Reynauld Smith’s presentation on the history of the Juneteenth holiday. Jerusalem-Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church holds a community festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise funds to restore the stained glass windows. Families can make a Juneteenth flag from painted popsickle sticks at the Long Branch Library from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
