NFL star DJ Reader hosting gala in Greensboro [Video]

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Detroit Lions defensive tackle DJ Reader and his A Son Never Forgets Foundation are hosting the 2nd Annual Toast to Education gala in his hometown of Greensboro to benefit the foundation. 

Fans are invited to support and attend the event on Saturday, May 11. 

The gala will be held at the Lofts of Congdon Yard. There will be dinner, live entertainment, dancing, and a silent auction. Ticket and sponsorship information can be found on his website. 

 Reader launched the 501(c)3 non-profit to promote health and wellness by providing information, services, resources, and activities to impact and support sustainable communities. He opened his first resource room in a Cincinnati high school that provide school supplies, hygiene products, and shoes to those in need, with plans to open four more.
