911 dialing issues for Juneau Verizon users [Video]

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Juneau Police Department said they are aware of an issue causing difficulty while dialing 911.

A press release from JPD on Saturday stated the department was aware of a “connectivity issue” for Verizon-based cell phone customers when attempting to dial 911.

JPD advised anyone having difficulty calling 911 to use their business line:

907-500-0600 ext. 1

JPD stated Verizon is working to restore full service but there is currently no official timeline for a complete restoration.
