750 Thanksgiving turkeys provided through Kansas City community giveaway [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Saturday, 750 turkeys and all the fixings were handed out to those needing an extra hand this Thanksgiving.

It’s all thanks to Community Builders of Kansas City and its many partners:

• Macedonia Baptist Church
• Catholic Charities
• Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO
• Greater Kansas City Building & Construction Trades Council
• Harvesters
• Jackson County Health Department
• Kansas City Public Library

At Macedonia Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, people were able to get a turkey, fixings, toiletries, Flu and COVID vaccines, and books, all for free.

People were lined up at 6 a.m., showing just how much the need is there in Community Builders of Kansas City’s fifth year of hosting this drive-thru giveaway.
