6 vehicle crash sends 2 people to hospital [Video]

PERKINS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving six cars in Perkins Township.

The initial crash was between a Cadillac ATS and a Toyota Tacoma, just after 8:10 p.m. Friday night on Perkins Ave. near the intersection of Hayes Ave., according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

After the first impact, the Cadillac ATS continued westbound and went left of center, hitting a Ford Focus and causing the Cadillac to spin into a Ford Explorer.

The person driving the Ford Focus then hit a Ford Escape and a Jeep Cherokee, the release said.

The driver of the Cadillac ATS and Ford Focus were taken to Firelands Hospital, according to the release.

“Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash,” the release said.

This crash remains under investigation.
