PARADISE, Calif. – There was a huge turnout for Paradise Stronger’s annual Phoenix 5k run. The 2024 event is one of several commemorating the 6th anniversary of the Camp Fire that destroyed most of the Town of Paradise.
Action News Now anchor/reporter Margot Rowe attended the run this year, and also participated. It was her very first 5k event.
Paradise Stronger executive director Aaron Singer told Rowe that the run is a “showcase of resiliency.” He said the event shows the strength of the community six years after the Camp Fire.
The course took runners and walkers around different parts of Paradise, where people could see what was new, what was lost, and what still stands or is being rebuilt.
