4 arrested, charged with breaking into vehicles at Randolph-Asheboro YMCA [Video]

Detectives believe the four suspects engaged in criminal activity in several states.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — According to the Asheboro Police Department, four people have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins at the Randolph-Asheboro YMCA. 

Officers with the Asheboro Police responded to the YMCA on December 12, where they found multiple vehicles broken into. According to police, the suspects broke windows and stole “personal property, including financial cards and identifications.

According to a press release, on December 16, the Waxhaw Police Department arrested Erika Sullivan after she attempted to use one of the bank accounts of the YMCA victims to withdraw money. 

During the investigation, officers identified a 2024 Ford Edge with a Georgia license plate as a possible suspect vehicle. On December 19, Asheboro Police said they were able to “place the vehicle and suspects in Hartford, Connecticut.” The suspects were then identified as Brittany Ramkelawan, Jarod Jackson and Amari Powell, who are all from …
