3 Northwest Florida men sentenced for conspiring to ship cocaine through U.S. mail [Video]

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Three Northwest Florida men face prison time following a multi-agency investigation into a drug distribution conspiracy, according to the United States Department of Justice.

The men are 45-year-old Omar Josue Morales-Rodriguez of Freeport, 50-year-old Marcos Aguilar Gonzalez of Santa Rosa Beach, and 34-year-old Edmar Agustin Gonzalez of Crestview.

According to a USDOJ press release, the three were convicted after a multi-agency investigation led by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office found that they conspired to ship cocaine from Puerto Rico to Okaloosa and Walton County from October 2019 to June 2023.

During the investigation, officials said the United States Postal Inspection Service had intercepted five packages. Three of those packages contained 1 kilogram of cocaine each, one of the packages contained 125 grams of cocaine, and the fifth contained $10,000, according to the …
