FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Moorhead Police Department says a second man has been arrested in relation to the shooting that allegedly stemmed from a dispute over dog custody.
The shots were exchanged near Ellen Hopkins Elementary on Wednesday, August 7. Court documents say that Markees Dempsey and his father fired their weapons from their car at a home. The homeowner then returned fire. Their identity has not been made public at this time.
Markees faces charges of aiding and abetting attempted murder, three counts of aiding and abetting assault, and burglary.
His father, Tamorris, had already been arrested over the incident, and charged with attempted murder, assault, burglary, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
No one was hurt in the shooting.
