2nd Annual Hartford HealthCare Medical Mission brings medical care across Connecticut [Video]

CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Hartford Healthcare held its biggest community health event of the year Saturday with the Medical Mission.

Healthcare providers joined more than 4,000 volunteers in multiple locations across Connecticut in order to provide free health treatments and essential services to those who most need it.

“‘We are here for you’ is our theme and we live it,” said Rhea Highsmith, Director of Community Relations for HHC’s central region. “And how do we live it? When we provide these services to our communities we go where they are.”

Along with health screenings and lab tests, Hartford HealthCare also sent 84 pallets of coats, boots, gloves and glasses to its medical mission sites.
