BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Saturday marked the 2nd annual Art in the Park event held by the Warren County Parks and Recreation Department.
The event took place at Basil Griffin Park, where 445 people came to experience the various creative opportunities they had to offer.
According to WCPR, that is an increase from the 350 attendees who came to the inaugural event held in 2023.
“Art in the Park is something a lot of parks departments across the state and country do, and we had never really done one here,” said Jade Grabeel, operations coordinator for WCPR, when asked how the event initially came to be. “We were met with so much joy and love from the community that we were like, ‘Okay, this is going to continue. This is going to be a yearly event.’”
