Da’montez Hutchings, 27, was arrested and charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Shively Police announced Da’montez Hutchings, 27, was arrested for the death of a teenager Sunday evening.
Police responded to the 1700 block of Kennedy Road around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on reports of a shooting.
According to the press release, officers located a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile was initially taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but succumbed to their injuries shortly after.
Hutchings was identified by police as a person of interest Saturday night following the shooting.
