PEORIA (25News Now) – WEEK-TV 25News will soon launch another newscast for Central Illinois viewers, but this time, exclusively on digital platforms.
Starting Monday, July 8, WEEK-TV will launch a half-hour digital exclusive newscast only available to stream on 25News’ Streaming TV App, Mobile App, and website.
“We have analyzed the local research and our viewers are asking for a 25News offering at 9 p.m. Currently, our network programming does not allow us a place to provide this. We are finding more of our viewers are turning to our streaming platforms to watch our newscasts. That’s why it was an easy decision to launch our first exclusive streaming newscast. We are excited to now give central Illinois 25News at 9 p.m.,” WEEK-TV Vice President and General Manager Peter Russell said.
This will also provide viewers with an opportunity to watch a local news broadcast during the 2024 Paris Olympics on NBC.
