MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – We are just two days away from 22,000 runners taking to the streets of Downtown Memphis for the St. Jude Marathon Weekend.
It all kicked off Wednesday at the Health and Wellness Expo, where runners can stop and pick up their race packet.
Vendors, runners, and volunteers come from around the county to support St. Jude.
President and CEO of ALSAC Richard Shadyac said this event is nothing without the patients and their families.
“Some of them are still in the fight, others are survivors, but they are all going to be here as a community coming together to support the incredible missions of St. Jude Children’s Hospital,” he said.
Shadyac said the goal this year is to raise $16 million.
