NORFOLK, Va. — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting on E. Virginia Beach Boulevard in August that left another man dead, according to a press release from the Norfolk Police Department (NPD).
Around 11:50 p.m. on August 16, police were called to the 5100 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old John E. Daughtry III of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.
Detectives said they have now charged 21-year-old Nasir E. Parker of Norfolk, with second-degree murder, two counts of use of a firearm, robbery, and conspiracy.
