JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Mississippi Department of Corrections is working with the Governor’s Job Fair Network to host a Re-Entry Job fair at Sparkman Auditorium on Thursday.
“Everybody deserves a second chance. We all make mistakes every day. Right? Don’t let one mistake determine someone’s future,” George King, MDOC Statewide Re-Entry Director said.
Over 20 businesses, community colleges and organizations participated in today’s event, giving the over 100 people who attended the opportunity for on-site interviews, with the chance of receiving a job offer.
The Department of Employment Security has hosted these re-entry job fairs for 6 years now.
