2024 gets worse for Boeing as it prepares to cut 17k jobs [Video]

2024 has proved a tough year for Boeing. Several of the company’s new plans have been found wanting, and more recently its Strainer project has also been riddled with problems.

Now the latest issue to befall the American aerospace company is mass layoffs.

In a letter issued to employees over the weekend, president and CEO Kelly Ortberg, confirmed that mass layoffs would be implemented. While a specific number was not shared, it is estimated that 17 000 jobs will be cut in this latest move, representing a 10 percent reduction to the workforce.
