WARREN (WWJ) An overnight shooting killed a young man in Warren.
In a press release; Warren Police said they were dispatched to a home on Paige Street, in the area of 9 Mile and Lorraine, for a shooting. Officers and the Warren Fire Department crews arrived at the home to find a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the backyard. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers conducted several interviews at the house and learned the shooting may have resulted from an earlier domestic violence incident involving the victim, his ex-girlfriend, and possibly other family members of the ex-girlfriend; according to police.
Police gathered information at the scene that led them to a home on Jewett, near Stephens and Van Dyke, less than a quarter of a mile away from the house on Paige. Officers found multiple unknown people and young children in the home. The Special Response …
