2 investors propose plans for former Robberson Elementary, including a community park vision [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The future of the former Robberson Elementary in Springfield is still up in the air and stirring hope in its neighborhood.

Two ideas from two investors who have submitted proposals to buy the former Robberson Elementary School in north Springfield.

“Phase three, we actually want to create a park for the community,” said David Stoecker, an investor.

“Our hope is to keep the existing playground all in the same configuration,” said Giles Stevens, another investor interested in the building.”

Neighbors have been working to transform the school playground into a public park, creating a space for families to gather. Either investor could help make this dream a reality.
