2 arrested in connection with murder of 10-year-old CLE girl [Video]

Gracie Griffin was shot and killed in the Jefferson neighborhood back on July 4. Police are also actively searching for 23-year-old Jemerious Davis in the case.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the shooting death of a 10-year-old girl back on the Fourth of July, while a third suspect currently remains at large.

According to a press release, officers as well as members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended 28-year-old Juwone Deaver on accusations of murder. In addition, 23-year-old Katie McKnight was arrested for allegedly obstructing justice in the case.

Tuesday’s developments come nearly four weeks after Gracie Griffin was shot and killed on West 125th Street near Triskett Road in the Jefferson neighborhood. Witnesses previously told 3News they heard about a dozen gunshots they originally believed were fireworks before someone began screaming from the middle of the street.
