2 arrested following drive-by shooting, robbery [Video]

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Police Department held a press conference on the morning of Oct. 31 to discuss two separate instances of crime that occurred on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.

Drive-by shooting

According to information released by the SAPD, law enforcement was dispatched at 3 p.m. on Oct. 30 in relation to a drive-by shooting reported near the intersection of Dallas Street and North Howard Street.

A witness provided information to 911 dispatchers that allowed officers to locate the suspect, 54-year-old George Torres, in his residence. The SAPD reported that “it was confirmed that the Victims vehicle was actually struck by the suspect.”

Torres was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, and was transported to the Tom Green County Detention Center. He has no bond posted as of the time of publication.
