17-year-old pulled over for speeding 126 mph, sheriffs office says [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – A teenager in Colorado was busted over the weekend for speeding at nearly 130 mph on the highway.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said the 17-year-old driver was pulled over by a deputy over the weekend.

The teen was clocked going at a whopping 126 miles per hour, 61 mph over the posted speed limit of 65.

The teen was pulled over on Highway 24 near Colorado Springs, but the exact location was not revealed.

The sheriff’s office made light of the encounter in a post on social media.

“It’s time for El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Trivia!” the post said. “When the driver was asked why they were driving so fast, they responded with:

a) I’m late for my curfew.

b) I was blowing off steam.

c) (Silence).

d) I was rushing home because I forgot my uniform at home and have a (sports) home game …
