A third cohort of students just completed a special program earning university credits while still in high school in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
The Learners Early Access Program (LEAP) just celebrated 16 Grade 11 and 12 students from the Peel District School Board who graduated and earned their first university credits.
Through the program, the students successfully obtained a micro-credential in project management and are now planning their post-secondary journey, according to a press release from the board.
“The dedication and hard work behind LEAP have been truly transformative, equipping our secondary school students with the skills and mindset needed for life beyond graduation,” said PDSB’s Director of Education, Rashmi Swarup.
