A secret cache of treasure, comprising burial crowns and insignia belonging to Polish and Lithuanian rulers, has been uncovered after more than 85 years from Vilnius Cathedral in Lithuania.

Hidden since the onset of World War II in 1939, the cache from the catholic cathedral was highlighted in a press release by Go Vilnius tourism promotion agency on Wednesday. The collection includes a crown that belonged to Alexander Jagiellon, also known as Aleksandras Jogailaitis, the king of Poland and grand duke of Lithuania, who lived from 1461 to 1506.
