ROCHESTER, Minn. – Roughly 1,400 Rochester Public Utilities customers are without power as of 5:20 p.m. Thursday. The outage was first reported just after 3 p.m.
According to RPU, utility crews have identified a failed switch. Director of Customer Relations, Patty Hanson says it’s estimated to take 1.5-2 hours to fix the problem.
Downtown traffic lights are being impacted by this outage, and the Rochester Police Department is helping assist cars at intersections.
