HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – The 10th annual Hartford Girls Rock! program honored ten girls from the greater Hartford area at a scholarship luncheon Sunday.
Hartford Girls Rock! is an annual program developed to celebrate, inspire, empower, and honor young women of the Greater Hartford community. The ten girls were selected for their service, leadership and academic achievement in their communities.
“They are leaders in their own right for young people but the hope and possibility of them becoming future leaders and offering a pathway to learning about themselves, gaining their confidence and the leadership skills they need to succeed is what we’ve invested through our Hartford girls rock leadership institute,” said Nyema Pinkney Cranford, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter President.
