WESTBORO, Mass. — Firefighters requested mutual aid to battle a fire that displaced 100 families at a Westboro apartment building on Monday.

Engines 2 and 4 and Truck 1 responded to the fire on the seventh floor of the building at 293 Turnpike Road, fire officials said in a Facebook post late Monday morning.

Crews knocked the fire down, however the building now has “major water damage,” officials said.
