1 person dead following shooting in Muskogee | News [Video]

UPDATE (12/20/24) — Police said the person who was taken to the hospital following a shooting and crash in Muskogee has died.

Muskogee Police said the shooter turned himself in and has been interviewed by investigators as well as a witness. 

Muskogee Police responded to the area of Independence and B Street at around 9:45 a.m. to a shots fired call.

The caller said that there were two vehicles in the road and heard several shots fired.

They said that a vehicle hit a tree and another black vehicle left the scene.

When officers arrived, they found that the driver of the vehicle that hit the tree had a gunshot wound.

The person was taken to a Tulsa hospital and police said there is no information on the person’s condition at this time.

Police said it’s an ongoing investigation..
