1-month-old baby dies after being bitten by family dog [Video]

TORRANCE, Calif. (WJW) – A 1-month-old baby has died after being bitten by a family dog on Tuesday in California.

According to a press release from the Torrance Police Department, an animal bite was reported just after 12:30 p.m. on the 2700 block of Martha Avenue.

The Torrance Fire Department responded to the scene where they found that a 1-month-old baby was bitten by a dog. The baby was then taken to the hospital.

According to the release, it was reported that the child did pass away.

The City of Torrance Animal Control also responded to the scene and took possession of the dog.
