MATTAWA, Wash. – One person was reportedly injured in a shooting in Mattawa on Saturday, according to a press release from the Mattawa Police Department.
Police say at around 11 p.m. on Dec. 7, MPD officers and deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the 100 block of 2nd Street for a report of shots fired.
Officers collected evidence of the incident in two separate areas, then were notified of a victim being transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
MPD says said victim is “being uncooperative” and that they believe it is a gang-related incident.
