1 hurt following shooting in Portsmouth Thursday night [Video]

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– Police in Portsmouth are investigating a shooting on Independence Day that left a man injured.

According to police, officers were called to the 400 block of Water Street just after 10 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information.
