1 arrested, 1 wanted after more than 50 dogs found in alleged Smith County dogfighting bust [Video]

UPDATE: The person arrested following the alleged dogfighting bust was identified as 34-year-old Kerry Jones of Tyler.

Jones is being held at the Smith County Jail under a combined bond of $560,000. He is being charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals and participating in the earnings of or operations of a facility used for dog fighting.

Sgt. Larry Christian with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office said they are working on leads to find the other individual involved.
